Browser Extension
Install the extension and Vigil works quietly in your toolbar. Every page you visit gets a privacy grade, a tracker count, and a flag if dark patterns are detected. No searching. No pasting. It tells you before you have to ask.
Desktop Agent
Apps you installed once and forgot about are still running. The desktop agent monitors outbound network connections, audits which apps have permissions they should not need, and scans new installs before they run for the first time.
Together
The web app surfaces what companies know about you. The extension catches what sites do the moment you land on them. The desktop agent watches what happens after you close the browser. Together, nothing slips through.
